Prelude to The Top 500 Songs of the Rock Era: "Slow Hand" by the Pointer Sisters

We are a little more than two months away from the equivalent of an "all you can eat" music special.  The superb Top 500 Songs of the Rock Era* is coming your way starting May 21 on Inside The Rock Era.

We will feature ten songs each day until we get to the #1 song of the last 60 years.  We timed it so that it will conclude on July 9, the official 60th birthday of the Rock Era, when "Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley & the Comets became the first rock song to go to #1.

In the meantime, we are featuring some great songs just outside the list.

This song written by Michael Clark and John Bettis was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic--at #2 in the U.S., it was beaten out only by "Endless Love" in 1981.

Enjoy one of the biggest hits by the Pointer Sisters...
