Calendar* Correction: Beatles Concert on May 18, 1963

Some websites claim the Beatles were the featured act for the first time on May 18, 1963 at the Grenada Theatre in Slough, England.  According to The Beatles Bible, the official website for the city of Slough, and the official website of Roy Orbison, the show was at the Adelphia Theatre in Slough, and Roy Orbison got top billing to start the tour.  The Beatles were not the featured act on this night--Roy Orbison was.  The Beatles had started out their four week tour in February opening for Tommy Roe, but assumed headline status by the end of the tour, according to The Beatles Bible.

Audience reaction eventually led to the Beatles being the headlining act, as it had on the February tour.  On May 22 at their concert in Ipswich, England, we know that even though Orbison had top billing, the Beatles performed last.  And by May 27 for the concert in Cardiff, Wales, the Beatles had replaced Orbison as the headline act.
