Axl Rose Joins AC/DC

Axl Rose, former lead singer of Guns N' Roses, has officially joined the Australian group AC/DC.

Rose will be the frontman for the heavy metal group for their world tour, including rescheduled dates in the United States.

Rose replaces Brian Johnson as lead singer for the group.  Johnson was advised by doctors in March to "stop touring immediately or risk total hearing loss."  Johnson joined AC/DC in 1980 after the death of Bon Scott and first appeared on the album Back in Black, The #10 Album of the Rock Era*.

Axl apparently doesn't care about his hearing and will continue down the road to self-destruction this summer.
